Who we work with.

We want to help everyone who needs it, and we focus on the people we make the biggest difference for: households with a high net worth and a complex financial life. Most of them fall into one of three groups.

Business owners

Make the business work for you.

You built something valuable, and now the decisions come all at once: how you're paid, the retirement plan, the entity, what a sale would actually leave you after tax, and what life looks like after the business.

The first question is usually "how do I avoid losing all this money to taxes when I sell?" We help owners make the business work for them and align their finances with the life they want, and we bring in the right people before the letter of intent, not after.

Equity compensation

Every grant and every vest, in one plan.

RSUs vesting every quarter, ISOs you haven't exercised because nobody explained AMT, and more of your net worth in one stock than you'd like. The decisions repeat with every vest, and the equity is only one piece of your financial life.

We read the grant documents, model the tax, and decide with you what to sell, what to keep, and when. Many of our clients are at private, pre-IPO companies, which is why the planning fee doesn't depend on assets.

Inheritors and trustees

The trust, the estate, and you.

A trust, an estate, or a family business interest that arrived with a trustee, an attorney, and a CPA already attached. The trustee works for the trust and your parents' advisors work for your parents.

We work for you: we help you understand what you have, what you can ask for, and what to do first, and we coordinate with the people already involved. Rarely is there a rush; most inheritance decisions are better made in the second six months than the first.

Complex finances, whatever the reason.

Several accounts and advisors, real estate, a trust, a large tax bill, or a liquidity event on the horizon. If your finances have moving parts and nobody is looking at all of them at once, we can help.

We start every relationship the same way: a conversation about what matters most to you, then one plan for all of it.

Are we a good fit?

Probably, if you:

  • Own a business, have equity compensation, received an inheritance, or have a complex financial life, and the decisions are piling up
  • Want one plan that covers all of it, not advice on one account
  • Want the advice priced on its own, whether or not we manage your investments
  • Will do the work between meetings, with help

Probably not, if you:

  • Want a portfolio managed and nothing else
  • Are looking for stock picks or market calls
  • Are choosing on price alone

Your next step

Start with a quick intro call. No pressure. You tell us what's going on, we tell you how we work, and we both find out whether it's a good fit. If we're not the right fit, we'll help you find the advisor who is.
